Brotherhood, Sisterhood, Mankind and loving life really
transcends the true meaning of Christmas around the world, which gives it its
own personalized moment wouldn’t you agree? It’s this one magical time of year
that brings everyone just that much more closer together than any other time of
the year. The peace and harmony that allows the human soul to rejuvenate in
some sense, in order to know that we are all here together as a human race.
Christmas stands for more than just handing out presents,
eating festive foods, or social gatherings, it’s about unity, love and the
common good of all man. The celebration of LIFE, and one commonality we all
share and that is, we are a people who BELIEVE. The greatest part of living life
is FAITH, the faith in knowing as that of understanding there is a purpose for
us all.
Christmas has been Christmas as far back as the celebration
of life itself. No one can take that away, no one has the right to! If one
doesn’t want to celebrate, we the majority of the world won’t hold it against
you, we won’t bother you, for we don’t have time, because we’ll be celebrating
the meaning of LIFE and Christmas will always be Christmas, it isn’t going
anywhere. If you have the change of heart and would like to join in, by all
means, please do as you will always be welcomed. “Christ” in Christmas will
never be rendered a non-part of this time of year and substituted for “Holidays”.
Well, this has been a great way to express to everyone not
to give up the Faith, Hope and Inspiration of this festive time of year that we all
celebrate and call “Christmas”.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE…WISHING YOU ALL THE VERY BEST!
That is all so well said.
ReplyDeleteExcept for the part about not focusing on the festive food. You know: The sugar glazed ham. The sweet potato casserole with the wonderful crumble on top. The glazed carrots. The honey buns. The streusel with the ever so good filling. Make me stop.....
Eloquently expressed from the heart of the writer! I wrote an essay called "Keep Christ In Christmas" when I was in the 3rd grade because I was seeing so many stores and other places with signs that said "Merry Xmas". If you take Christ out of Christmas, it is reduced to a greedy, gift-hungry, sale-hungry and meaningless holiday. Even at the tender age of 7 or 8 I knew that wasn't right!
ReplyDelete"Glory to God, and on earth peace, toward men of good will" (Luke 2:14)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, Robbie. Wishing you a very happy Christmas.
